ArtBeat draws thousands to Davis Square annually, showcasing music, performers, and dance. McKersin was the A1 for our dance showcase at Somerville Theater, where over 300 audience members watched local artists on a proscenium stage. He participated in production meetings, planning, setup, and operation, flawlessly handling sound for both recorded playback and live musicians. Katye provided a phenomenal sound experience for the May 24' installment of my mini festival ARTZ Underground. I had a few day of requests and McKersin was able to talk me through and meet all of them, providing phenomenal sound for our main stage; an additional speaker that required a long cord meticulously placed behind vendors and along the wall so every room could be amplified with the performances on stage; and he ran sound for the entire 4 hour event. He understood the needs of the event and treated it as it was his own. Huge thanks to McKersin and Katye Productions. I will definitely be working with him again and again.
